These classic throws are made of 100% New Zealand lambs wool. The definition of lambs wool is the first shearing of the sheep that is no older than six months. During later years Klippan has also been able to produce throws in ecologic lambs wool. The ecologic lambs wool is totally free of pesticides and no chemicals or antibiotics have been used during the breeding of the sheep.
It is no coincidence that New Zealand belongs to the world's largest wool producing countries. Their landscape is especially suitable for sheep farming. Animals are outside all year round and grazing grass in the lush landscape. It makes the wool become thick, clean and really white!
Klippan Yllefabrik, a family company, was started when Jöns Petter Magnusson took over a small wool spinning mill in the center of Klippan, a village in southern Sweden. Ever since, they have stayed with their core business, which is with natural wool et cotton products. They produce plaids, throws and blankets, from start to finish, in their own factory. Controlling the entire process, they take the carefully selected raw material and turn it into a comprehensive textile collection based on quality and design.
