A sporty base layer wool sweater in soft merino wool. The sweater has a semi-high neck with a zipper. Flat seams prevent friction against the skin when moving. The side seams have been shaped towards the front the sweater for maximum comfort during activity. The underarm panel is knitted in a contrast color. Vail can be used as a base layer on both cold and hot days. It can also be worn as a thin next-to-skin sweater. Pair with the Askla base layer pants for a complete look. Responsible Wool Standard certification (RWS) ensures that the wool in this garment is responsibly produced. The certification has requirements for animal welfare (including a ban on mulesing), working conditions, and that production safeguards biodiversity and sustainable operation of the soil The pattern is taken from our best-selling Vail sweater. The design is based on the traditional Norwegian eight-petal rose. The original Vail      sweater was the official team sweater for the US national alpine skiing and snowboarding team during the 2006-07 season.

Basic Skinsoft superfine merino wool, what's this? the perfect functional fiber. It has extremely high wearing comfort and is itch-free with a soft feel. Very fine spun, this wool is ideal for basic garments to be worn next to the skin. Naturally, our wool is mulesing-fee. Garments knitted with Pure can be machine washed using wool-cycle.
